APM235S: Applications of Linear Programming
(Summer, 1998 & Summer, 1999)

This streamline summer course is directed to general audience of students with major in computer science, mathematics, and physics. The easy-to-understand lectures make students familiar with operation research, linear programming, various applications and provide a solid background in the canonical simplex method.

Prerequisite: MAT 223H, MAT 240H
Main textbook: Elementary Linear Programming with Applications by B. Kolman and R.E. Beck (Academic Press, 1995)
Marking scheme: Final exam (2 hrs) - 60%, 2 Mid-term tests (100 min) - 20% each
